The hat said, “poetry wizard”
Quite a turn of phrase
It was meant less as as a title and more of an expression of love, by my two youngest daughters
I’m so curious how those two words were spun together? With such tender care and playful anticipation to celebrate their dad They shared their words, and in all times and places we each share, our words
I believe God puts language on the tip of our inconsistent tongues,
near the edges of crowded ears,
and throughout the crevices of our wandering minds as a beacon.
signals sent
and when received, reciprocated
Delicate like a spider’s web, stretching long and maybe only seen in the fresh dew of each day
Our words dancing together
Radiantly reflecting
Fragile like sprouts
Power like eternal trees
Each beacon sent like seeds
With immeasurable beauty sweet like potential
Yet potential only is a vapor
We must remember to have the courage to write them down, to speak them out, to give them away
Yes, give them away as wondrously spontaneous created covenants that we share
