Ancient Wisdom for Modern Leadership—Rooted in Real Experience

Damon’s Nomad Way Approach was born from a lifetime of movement, transition, and discovery. The name

“Nomad” comes from Damon spelled backward—and from a childhood story his mother told him about Prince Nomad, a tale that shaped his belief in the power of stories to guide our paths. Read Prince Nomad Blog here Grounded in lessons from Damon’s work across the six realms of development 6D's Blog —Business, Workforce, Organizational, Leadership, Community, and Economic—The Nomad Way helps leaders and change makers align their inner compass with their outward impact. My Services

Breakthrough

Discovery

Session

What it is: A focused 90-minute to 2-hour session designed to help you or your team get unstuck. We'll mine for hidden conflict, question underlying assumptions, explore uncharted territory, and identify the real pain points holding you back. This is strategic clarity work—not long-term consulting.

Who it's for: Individuals or teams who are stuck and know it. Best for teams where trust is high and the desire for progress is genuine. If you're spinning your wheels or facing a decision point that feels paralyzing, this is your starting place.

Hopeful outcome: Clarity to move forward with confidence. You'll leave with insight and direction to try new approaches and learn on your own—with low ongoing intervention from me.

Next step: For some, the breakthrough is enough. For others, it reveals the need for deeper work—either Trust Building and Communication Consulting to help chart a course that brings others along across teams or silos, or Executive Mentoring and Coaching to serve as a guide as you lead the change you've discovered.

Trust Building

and

Communication

Consulting

What it is: Project-based consulting to bridge divides and build connections where they matter most. Drawing on my journey through the 6 D's of Development, I help create bridging and linking social capital—fostering trust between diverse groups and connecting leaders across institutional lines. This is the work of integration: helping teams, departments, or coalitions move from isolation to collaboration.

Who it's for: Organizations facing silos, coalitions struggling with alignment, or leaders navigating cross-sector partnerships where trust is fragile or hasn't been established. Ideal for those who know the strategy but need help with the relational infrastructure to execute it.

Hopeful outcome: Stronger connections, clearer communication pathways, and the relational foundation needed for sustained collaboration. Teams and partners move from fragmented effort to integrated impact.

Next step: Depending on the scope, this may lead to ongoing Team Discovery and Mentoring to sustain momentum, or transition into Fractional Executive Management if deeper strategic leadership is needed during implementation.

Executive

Mentoring

and

Coaching

(1:1 and Cohort-Based)

What it is: A structured 6–12 month partnership focused on growth, reflection, and application. Whether in 1:1 sessions or cohort settings, we'll walk together through the challenges you're facing—navigating transitions, scaling leadership capacity, or rediscovering calling and purpose. This is deep work: building the internal compass that guides external impact.

Who it's for: Executives, ministry leaders, creatives, and change makers who are in motion—by choice or circumstance—and need a trusted guide for the journey. Ideal for those facing significant transitions, leading through complexity, or seeking moral clarity between seasons.

Hopeful outcome: Increased leadership capacity, aligned decision-making, and the resilience to lead with clarity and courage through whatever comes next. You'll carry forward what matters most—internally and externally—into your journey ahead.

Next step: Some mentoring relationships naturally complete after the initial journey. Others evolve into ongoing advisory relationships or periodic check-ins as new challenges emerge.

Fractional

Executive

Management
(3–18 months)

What it is: Part-time, project-based executive leadership serving in roles such as CEO, Chief Development Officer, or Chief Strategy Officer. I step into your organization to provide strategic direction, operational execution, and high-level guidance during periods of growth, transition, or capacity gaps.

Who it's for: Growing organizations needing senior leadership without full-time commitment, startups scaling beyond founder-led operations, nonprofits navigating leadership transitions, or coalitions requiring temporary executive capacity to execute major initiatives.

Hopeful outcome: Organizational momentum, strategic clarity, and operational systems that outlast the engagement. You'll have the leadership needed to navigate the critical season and the infrastructure to sustain progress once I transition out.

Next step: Successful fractional engagements often lead to hiring a permanent leader, transitioning responsibilities to internal staff with new capacity, or establishing ongoing advisory relationships for periodic strategic support.

My Approach

The Nomadic Principles

Each of these six principles reflects wisdom learned through both success and struggle. They shape how we move, serve, and grow.

'Mobility with Purpose'

-Move where value emerges-

We aren’t defined by circumstances but guided by calling. Every environment offers a way to serve and make meaningful impact.

'Environmental Awareness'

-Read the terrain before moving-

Understanding patterns, systems, and people helps us see the path forward clearly. Awareness is the foundation of wise movement.

'Resourceful Living'

-Carry what matters most-

Let go of what no longer serves you. Clearing the clutter—externally and internally—reveals strengths and lessons ready to be repurposed.

'Resilient Wholeness'

-Lead with your whole self-

True resilience integrates the emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational. Leading from wholeness is essential for lasting impact.

'Relationship-Based Trade'

-People are your marketplace-

Invest in relationships built on generosity, curiosity, and creativity. Strong networks are born from shared values, not titles or positions.

'Forming Followership'

-Be mindful of what shapes you-

We become what we focus on. Leadership begins with self-awareness—knowing what guides your time, energy, and purpose.
